img_1303Hello, there! My name is Anastasia, and I love words. When I’m not eating them with a spoon (also known as reading), I’m stringing them into sentences for my own enjoyment. So far, the latter pastime has lead to scores of short stories and a novel I’m in the process of revising. Someday, I hope to be a published author, but I’d also like to be an English teacher so I can inspire future generations to enjoy words as much as I do.

Because I love reading and writing so much, I’ll be talking a lot about both in my little corner of the Internet. This will include:

  • my writing journey (how I came to be a writer in the first place, outlining, updates on current Works in Progress [WiPs], revisions for those WiPs, my drafting experience [the phase a manuscript goes through before entering the querying phase, which involves getting represented by an agent and {hopefully} leads to publishing])
    • other things involving my manuscripts (book playlists, Pinterest inspiration boards, art)
  • some writing tips (how to outline, plot, develop characters, and revise)
  • book reviews & library hauls  (the former of which I will probably cross-post from my Goodreads account)
  • maybe some reviews of tea, if people are interested, which would definitely give me an excuse to try more teas. 😉

and, lastly,

  • my journey through the querying world, also known to writers as “Querying Hell” (I guess you and I can find out why together.)

Blog Schedule

Here’s what I tend to post in a typical week:

  • Monday: Mood & Music Monday (music and a weekly update)
  • Tuesday: book review
  • Wednesday: WiP Wednesday/WiP Marathon (on the last Wednesday of the month)
  • Thursday: book review
  • Friday: probably something writing-related (probably book reviews during school)
  • Saturday: anything (probably book reviews during school)
  • Sunday: anything (probably book reviews during school)

I almost always post on Mondays and Wednesdays, so check for new things on those days, if nothing else. I’m trying to post other things more consistently. Either way, I’ll try to post regularly, so be sure to check back and see what I’m up to. Hope to see you around!
