Mood & Music Monday: 1/9/17

Hello, and welcome this week’s Mood and Music Monday!

Mood and Music Monday is a weekly meme I’ve started, wherein I’ll post a song and talk about how it relates to my day/week, as well as a few other things. (And, in case anyone’s wondering, this meme has no relation to Lauren’s [from Always Me] “Music Mondays.”) Feel free to participate and to leave a link to your posts down in the comments!

Here’s the update for this week:

What are you listening to? On repeat is Richard Walters’s “The Rules for Lovers.” I heard this song at a friend’s dance recital over winter break, and I thought it was so beautiful and atmospheric that I looked it up on YouTube.

What are you reading? I finished To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, and I’m currently reading The Strange and Beautiful Sorrows of Ava Lavender by Lesyle Walton, which I’m hoping to finish in the next two weeks. It’s all right, but I’m not finding it as mesmerizing as other readers have.

What are you drinking? Tea and Kombucha. I’m battling the flu currently (and I haven’t been sick in a long time), so I need all the extra hot liquids and probiotics I can get.

Any goals for this week? Staying alive, I guess? I was pretty out of it yesterday (the reason why I didn’t post a Bookstagram daily challenge photo), and all I did was sleep. I also blacked out, I think? (Don’t ask me; I can’t remember.) And hit my head on my bathroom floor and cut my lip. So I’m hoping I’ll be able to get back on track with everything soon. (Forget you, flu.)

How about you?

  • What song(s) are you listening to today?
  • What is your current read? Are you enjoying it?
  • Do you have any plans or goals for this week?
