Mood & Music Monday: 7/18/16

Hello, everybody! Welcome to this week’s Mood and Music Monday!

Mood and Music Monday is a weekly meme I’ve started, wherein I’ll post a song and talk about how it relates to my day/week, as well as a few other things. (And, in case anyone’s wondering, this meme has no relation to Lauren’s [from Always Me] “Music Mondays.”) Feel free to participate and to leave a link to your posts down in the comments!

Here’s the update for this week:

SONG(S) OF THE WEEK

What are you listening to? More Daughter this week, but I have no regrets. This song reminds me of cold winter days and quilts. It’s so calm, but so powerful, and I love that about it. I’ve also been listening to plenty of Sia and CHVRCHES.

What are you reading? Finished Eclipse (FINALLY!), Reawakened (by Colleen Houck), which I loved, and My Soul to Take (by Rachel Vincent), which was also good. Today I plan to start And Both Were Young by Madeleine L’Engle. I loved A Wrinkle in Time, so I’m excited to read something else by her. Apparently, ABWY was her first young adult novel, and it looks interesting (boarding school in Switzerland? Sign me up!), so I’m hoping I’ll enjoy it.

What are you drinking? Lots of water.

Any goals for this week?  Still knocking out my July TBR Pile, working on book revisions, and working on critiques for a critique group I just joined. Between reading and critiquing, I haven’t had much time for writing, but hopefully that will change this week.

How about you?

  • What song(s) are you listening to today?
  • What is your current read? Are you enjoying it?
  • Do you have any plans or goals for this week?
