Mood & Music Monday: 4/4/2016

Hi, all! It’s been a while. In an effort to make this blog more active, I’ve decided to write one of those “Mood and Music Monday” posts I promised some time back.

Mood and Music Monday is a weekly meme I’m starting, wherein I’ll post a song and talk about how it relates to my day/week, as well as a few other things. (And, in case anyone’s wondering, this meme has no relation to Lauren’s [from Always Me] “Music Mondays.”) Feel free to participate and to leave a link to your posts down in the comments!

So, let’s get started, shall we?

SONG OF THE WEEK

What are you listening to? This week, I’m listening to “Blood” by The Middle East–both the original, and Mree’s beautiful cover. It has that springtime, almost-summer feel to me. And, as school gets closer and closer to ending for the year, I need as many reminders as I can get that summer’s almost here. 🙂

What are you reading? I just finished Across the Universe by Beth Revis, so, as I write this, I’m between books. My plan is to start either This Monstrous Thing by Mackenzi Lee or Mister Death’s Blue-Eyed Girls by Mary Downing-Hahn, which are both library books from my TBR pile. We’ll see which one I start first.

What are you drinking? Over the past few months, I’ve gotten into these sparkling probiotic drinks called KeVita, and they’re amazing. If you can find them, you should totally try a bottle; they come in several flavors. My favorite is Strawberry Acai Coconut.

Also, the color of the bottle (and the drink itself) is about the same as the pink on the book cover. Cool, huh? 🙂

Any goals for this week? Mainly, to be able to manage schoolwork. Last week was midterms week for me, so now we’re in the last quarter of the school year. (AHHHH! How did time fly so quickly?) I’m hoping the homework load doesn’t increase as we near the end.

Ten more weeks, you guys. I can make it.

I’d also like to resume editing my WiP, which I’ve put off for several weeks now because of school. Hopefully, I’ll have more updates on my progress with that as the week continues. I’ll let you know; I promise.

How about you?

  • What song(s) are you listening to today?
  • What is your current read? Are you enjoying it?
  • Do you have any plans or goals for this week?
